“The Italian Specialist in Bulgarian Studies Luigi Salvini”, publ. in
Ezik i literature, 1981, n. 1, pp 63-68.
The article deals with the role of Luigi Salvini in acquainting Italian
audience with Slavic culture. What is then described is his merit for
the development of the Bulgarian Studies in Italy. Besides, a list is
given of his articles, reviews, translations and editions. A letter from
his secretary is quoted as an evidence that Ivan Petkanov was asked to
take care of the Salvini’s manuscripts as well as to write the
introduction to the second edition of Bulgarian Folk Songs.
